Airside Services Officer

Airside services officers ensure the efficient, safe and timely turnaround of aircraft services in line with company, airline and regulatory policies whilst delivering the best possible service to its customers.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Able to undertake manual handling duties e.g. loading and unloading aircraft baggage.
  • Meet the requirements of a UK airside driving permit which includes holding a valid UK manual driving licence and passing an airside medical.
  • English and Maths GCSE Grade C/4 or above is desirable. 

Refueller

Refuellers ensure that aircraft are refuelled efficiently and the fuel farm is fully compliant to airport Health & Safety including carrying out regular checks on fuel and maintaining records. 

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role. 
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure. 
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Meet the requirements of a UK airside driving permit which includes holding a valid UK manual driving licence and passing an airside medical.
  • A good level of education of 4 GCSE’s including English and Maths all at Grade C/4 or above is desired. 

Airside Co-Ordinator

Airside Co-ordinators supervise, coordinate and affect the on-time aircraft turnaround process, in its entirety, for all scheduled aircraft movements at Cornwall Airport Newquay and liaise directly with all departments and staff necessary to achieve this objective.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Good Communications skills written or orally. 
  • Flexible working including shift work. 
  • Team player.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
  • A good level of education of 5 GCSE’s including English and Maths all at Grade C/4 or above is essential. 
  • CIEH Level 3 Award in training or equivalent is desired. 
  • Minimum of one year’s experience in an airport environment. 
  • Accredited IATA weight and balance certificate is desired.
