Ryanair, Europe’s favourite airline, today (3 April) celebrated the launch of its new Alicante and Frankfurt Hahn services from Cornwall Airport Newquay. Both routes will operate twice weekly, with Alicante on Wednesdays and Sundays and Frankfurt Hahn operating on Thursdays and Sundays, which will deliver 35,000 customers p.a. at Cornwall Airport Newquay.
Residents in the south west and visitors alike can choose from these new twice weekly flights and look forward to further improvements, under Ryanair’s “Always Getting Better” programme, which includes more routes, a new app, new cabin interiors and new crew uniforms.
In Newquay, Ryanair’s Sales & Marketing Executive, Lisa Buckley said: “We are pleased to launch our 2 new routes from Newquay Cornwall to Alicante and Frankfurt Hahn, which will both operate twice weekly and deliver 35,000 customers p.a. at Cornwall Airport Newquay.
To celebrate the launch of our Alicante and Frankfurt Hahn services, we are releasing 100,000 seats for sale across our European network from just £19.99, which are available for booking until Monday (4 Apr). Since these amazing low prices will be snapped up quickly, customers should log onto www.ryanair.com and avoid missing out.”
Cornwall Airport Newquay’s Managing Director, Al Titterington, said: “It’s fantastic to welcome Ryanair back to Cornwall today with the start of these two new services. To give the first visitors arriving from Germany on the inaugural flight from Frankfurt-Hahn their first taste of Cornwall we’ve welcomed them all with a Cornish Pasty from Cornish Premier Pasties. With the popularity of Cornwall in Germany, this new route should prove a welcome boost to the tourism sector here in Cornwall.
With the start of the Alicante as well, we’re delighted to again be offering a direct summer sun route for our local market, without the need to travel out of county.”
