29th April, 2022 — Cornwall Airport Newquay celebrates the launch of the new Aer Lingus Regional service between Dublin and Newquay, with the first flight having departed Newquay earlier today. Operated exclusively by Emerald Airlines, the new Aer Lingus Regional route between Dublin and Newquay will commence with 4 flights per week, operate year-round, and connect seamlessly with Aer Lingus’ transatlantic network from Dublin Airport.
The new route will facilitate onward connectivity from Newquay to North America; New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Toronto. Passengers flying into the US can avail of US Immigration Pre-clearance at Dublin Airport, skipping any lengthy immigration queues stateside.
Touching down at Newquay, the new Aer Lingus Regional route, exclusively operated by Emerald Airlines, from Dublin was met with much excitement, and all arriving passengers on today’s inaugural flight were met with good Cornish hospitality and each greeted with some Cornish goodies.
Commenting from Newquay today, Sam O’Dwyer Managing Director at Cornwall Airport Newquay said: “We’re delighted to welcome Emerald Airlines as our first new airline to Newquay this year and to be operating this very popular route between Ireland and Cornwall.
