G7 Summit 2021 - Passenger FAQs

I’m due to fly over the G7 period, will my flight be disrupted?

All scheduled flights will operate as normal throughout the G7 period.

How will I get to the Airport during G7 if I'm a passenger or picking up/dropping someone off?

During the G7 period there will be intermittent road closures around the Airport site but passengers (or those needing to get to the airport to drop off or pick up passengers) will be allowed through to the terminal via the route through Carnanton Woods. Police check points will be in place at certain times and you may need to show ID and/or travel documents etc. to demonstrate that you need to get into the area, please ensure you have this ready. You can find further information on the road closures and check points here.

We would like to reassure you that those that need to access the airport will be able to, but we do advise that you allow extra time to get to the Airport during the G7 period as some delays are possible.

Can I park at the Airport during G7?

Yes, parking on site will still be available to passengers in our West Car Park, however our East Car Park will be closed during this time. As always, we recommend booking parking in advance to get the best price and please follow signs on arrival as there may be some temporary changes.

Will extra security checks be in place over the G7 weekend?

There will be additional police checks on roads and around the entry points to the Airport at certain times. Once within the airport environment the usual high level of security measures will be in place to ensure you have a safe and secure journey. Our friendly and highly trained security team are always on hand should you have any questions whilst at the Airport.
