We are thrilled to share some fantastic news with you! Cornwall Airport Newquay has launched its enhanced summer schedule, marking a significant milestone in our journey to provide you with the best travel experiences.
Record-Breaking Winter and New Horizons
After a record-breaking winter in 2023, where we became the fastest-growing regional airport in the UK, we’re ready to offer even more options and convenience this summer. We’ve nearly doubled the number of airlines operating at Cornwall Airport Newquay, going from six before the pandemic to ten now. This means more destinations and more choices for your summer adventures!
Upgraded Facilities for a Better Experience
We know that a great journey starts with a great airport experience. That’s why we’ve upgraded our facilities to make your time with us as pleasant as possible. In May 2024, we opened a new café and retail area, adding 62 extra square metres of space for you to relax and shop. And there’s more to come! We’re also introducing a next-generation security upgrade this year to make your travel smoother and safer.
Need a car for your trip? We’ve expanded our hire car services. Now, in addition to Hertz and Europcar, you can also rent from Enterprise. Plus, our on-site taxi company has a brand-new HQ to serve you better.
Year-Round Travel Options
We’re committed to keeping you connected all year round. With airlines like Loganair, Aer Lingus, Eastern Airways, and Ryanair, you can count on us for consistent connectivity throughout the year. And for the summer season, SAS and Aurigny join our family, offering even more destinations for your holiday plans.
Unique Destinations
Did you know we’re the only airport in England on Edelweiss’ network offering direct flights to Zurich? This summer, Edelweiss has added an extra rotation, flying on Wednesdays and Sundays. They’ve also extended their 2025 season to start at Easter, perfect for a short break.
Growing Together
We’ve seen significant increases in passenger numbers and air traffic each month in 2024. Since January, we’ve welcomed 138,519 passengers! Here’s a snapshot of our growth:
March saw a 70% increase in passengers from the previous year, with 26,768 passengers.
February recorded a 106% increase, with 22,084 passengers.
January had 18,318 passengers, a 26% increase from the previous year.
Our average load factor has also risen to 73.4% this year, up from 65.6% last year.
